Event’s Portfolio

Coming from a Hispanic family, I’ve been coordinating events since I was 12 years old. My first major project was my own quinceañera at age 14. Through that experience, I learned how to negotiate with vendors, manage budgets, plan itineraries, problem solve, and much more. Although it was an extremely challenging task for my 14-year-old self, I discovered my passion for the challenges that come with event coordination.

Since then, my journey continued in high school as a member of the student council, where I helped organize proms, homecomings, Sadie Hawkins dances, pep rallies, and more. After high school, my event planning experience expanded into more professional roles. I worked as a Banquet Server at the Marriott, as an Event Coordinator at Colorado State University’s El Centro and an Event & Engagement Assistant at CSU”s Alumni Association. Additionally, I honed my skills through extracurricular involvement in the Hospitality & Event Management Club and Pi Lambda Chi Latina Sorority, Inc., where I coordinated a wide range of events, both large and small.

Now, I am ready to continue expanding my professional journey outside of higher education and into a fulfilling career.

Quincenera’s

As mentioned, my in bigger events started by doing my quincenera. However, I also did my two younger sisters quinceneras. From using a tight budget, to working with vendors, creating diy decorations, and much more. My love for big events and building the skills I needed to do so started here.

Student Council

In Student Council, we didn’t let a small budget define the quality of our events. Coming from a low-income, minority school, we had to get creative and resourceful to make every event memorable. From Sadie Hawkins dances and pep rallies to the homecoming parade, senior night, and school-wide activities, we found ways to maximize what we had and create experiences our students deserved.

HEM CLUB

Being part of a college academic club isn’t just about meetings—it’s about creating opportunities. I constantly come up with new ideas to get students engaged and career-ready, making sure they gain real-world experience beyond the classroom. One of the ways I do this is by connecting with local businesses in our field to set up industry tours, giving students firsthand exposure to potential career paths.

With over hundreds of hotel projects, we continue to do extensive market research to ensure that our designs remain current so it relates to a broader market. With the partnership of architects, contractors and design, we ensure that each process is successful throughout the duration of the project.

CSU El Centro

CSU Alumni Association

Being part of the Alumni Association has given me the opportunity to plan and execute events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings of nine people to large-scale events with thousands of attendees. Beyond hands-on event execution, I also research venues across the country, helping my team find the perfect locations to bring alumni together. Through this role, I’ve strengthened my ability to manage logistics, think on my feet, and create meaningful experiences that keep alumni connected.
